Rwanda!

I work for Hobsons, a company full of amazing people that is the premier provider of innovative technology and integrated marketing solutions that empower education professionals to manage the entire student lifecycle, including recruitment, enrollment, and retention.  Yes, I stole that right off of our website.

Beyond the great day-to-day work that we do, Hobsons has a tremendous corporate philanthropy program.  We work directly with Plan to fund a school construction project each year.  To date, Hobsons has built schools in Namibia, Nicaragua, Malaysia, Guatemala, Laos, Kenya, Vietnam, Bolivia, and Ghana.  Our latest project is in Rwanda, where a primary school in the Gatsibo district is currently under construction thanks to donations from Hobsons employees.  For each project, Hobsons selects a group of employees to visit each project and serve as ambassadors to the local community.

This weekend, May 13-15, eight Hobsons employees representing each of our five global offices will travel to Rwanda for a week to learn about Rwanda and visit the community where the new primary school is being built.  I created this blog to share our experiences and adventures with everyone back home.
